Teaching Portfolio
Lecturing
I have taught the following full courses:
As an Informatics student at Aalborg University, User Experience Consultant in the software industry and as a Ph.D. student I have obtained a broad set of skills relevant for teaching. I believe that I am competent to undertake most of the current teaching tasks within the area of HCI and Information Systems, including the following courses: Usability and Usability Evaluation, Design, Implementation and Evaluation of User Interfaces and Systems Development.
- Basic Programming (5 ECTS): Client- server based web programming in HTML5, CSS3 and PHP5
- Systems Analysis and Design (5 ECTS): Object Oriented Approach to Software Engineering
- Design and Evaluation of User Interfaces (5 ECTS): Processes and concepts for designing interactive systems
- Interaction Design and Programming (5ECTS): Usability Engineering and web programming. Took part in planning and teaching the course.
- Empirical Research on Usability Evaluation Methods (2.5 ECTS): Ph.D. course providing an overview of usability evaluation research
- Specialization course (5 ECTS): Course for Master students on HCI related topics and statistics. Took part in planning and teaching the course.

Project Supervision (PBL)
I have independently supervised a total of 18 project groups covering a broad range of topics and at different educational levels between 1st and 10th semester. I have also supervised groups on different ICT educations:
- INF10: User Experience
- DAT10: Sensor Fusion
- SW10: Tabletop Technologies
- SW9: Tabletop Technologies, User Experience Evaluation
- SW7: Internet development
- SW8: Distributed and Mobile Software
- DAT3/SW3:Software Construction and Testing
- SW2: Networks and Algorithms
- BAIT2/INF2: Development of Webshops
- BAIT1/INF1: Business Models of Free Software
Teaching Assistant
I have been a teaching assistant in the course on Design, Implementation and Evaluation of User Interfaces for two years where I have helped students complete assignments concerning the following topics:
- Frameworks for Designing Interactive Systems
- The Process of Designing Interactive Systems
- Human Cognition: Attention, Memory, and Perception
- Understanding and Envisionment
- Usability Evaluation
- GUI Programming
Censoring
As a censor for 24 project groups I have additionally covered several different topics. Censoring tasks were undertaken at different educational levels between 1st and 9th semester as well as on different ICT educations:
Furthermore, I have been a censor in the following courses:
- INF9: Natural User Interfaces, Augmented Reality, Mobile User Interfaces, Dual-Sided Interface Design, Communication Models
- IT-Vest: Usability evaluation
- DAT3/SW3: Software Construction and Testing
- BAIT1/INF1: Evaluation of User Interfaces
Furthermore, I have been a censor in the following courses:
- DAT8: Advanced Topics in System Development
- DAT3/SW3: System Analysis and Design
Practitioner Course
I was one of three persons to design, prepare and conduct a three module course on usability evaluations in an industrial setting. Course participants were employees at Dafolo A/S and all course modules were held as a combination of presentations and exercises:
1. General introduction to usability:
2. Basic training in conventional usability evaluation:
3. Follow-up training on resource economic usability evaluation:
Before receiving this course, the employees at Dafolo A/S had almost no knowledge of usability and usability evaluation. The course has enabled all employees to understand and appreciate this area of software development and some employees are now working with planning and conduction of usability tests.
1. General introduction to usability:
- Duration: 1 day
- Purpose: To introduce all employees at Dafolo A/S to the concept of usability, usability problems and usability evaluation. A roadmap of my future involvement at the company was also given.
- Participants: 20 employees
2. Basic training in conventional usability evaluation:
- Duration: 2 days
- Purpose: To provide skills in conducting classical laboratory evaluations and video analysis
- Participants: 5 software development practitioners
3. Follow-up training on resource economic usability evaluation:
- Duration: 1 day
- Purpose: To provide skills in conducting less resource demanding usability evaluation methods
- Participants: 5 software development practitioners

Project Reviewer
As a project reviewer on the DAT3 semester, I have reviewed 5 projects in relation to Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
